Plant Fest 2026
Join us for our first annual Plant Fest!
🌿 Plant Fest 2026 at Fitz’s Fish Ponds
FFP Saddle River | May 2nd & May 3rd 10am-4pm
We are beyond excited to welcome you to the very first annual Plant Fest, hosted at Fitz’s Fish Ponds – Saddle River—a property with deep horticultural roots and a long love affair with plants.
Long before koi ponds, waterfalls, and biological filtration systems, this land was known for growing things. In the late 1800s, the Saddle River property traces back to the Tricker family, who operated one of the area’s early nurseries and greenhouses, supplying ornamental plants to estates throughout northern New Jersey and New York. Generations later, that same spirit of cultivation lived on as Waterford Gardens, a beloved destination for gardeners, plant collectors, and anyone who believed dirt under your fingernails was a badge of honor.
Plant Fest 2026 is our way of honoring that legacy—bringing the site full circle and celebrating the growers, gardeners, and plant people who have always been at the heart of this property.
Expect a day filled with:
Aquatic plants for ponds & aquariums
Knowledgeable growers and vendors
Educational talks designed to make your plants thrive
A community that loves plants as much as you do
And don’t worry… of course we’ll still have koi. 🐟
This is Fitz’s Fish Ponds, after all. Expect beautiful koi displays, ponds, and plenty of water-garden inspiration alongside all things green and growing.
Plant Fest 2026 isn’t just an event—it’s a homecoming. A celebration of where this property started, how far it’s come, and the living things that continue to connect us all.
Come for the plants.
Stay for the koi.
Leave inspired. 🌿💧
