Shrimp Bowl Workshop: Green Brook
Build Your Own Shrimp Bowl Aquascape!
1-2:30PM Saturday, October 10th | Green Brook, NJ
Ever wondered how to create one of the beautiful shrimp bowl habitats you see in our store? In this hands-on Shrimp Bowl Aquascaping Workshop, you’ll build your very own miniature planted aquarium designed specifically for Neocaridina shrimp! This low-tech aquascape is perfect for desks, countertops, offices, or anywhere you want to add a little piece of the underwater world. No filter or heater is required—just a place to plug in the included light!
During the workshop, you’ll learn the basics of creating and maintaining a small, planted shrimp habitat while designing your own unique aquascape. Your workshop fee includes the shrimp bowl, hardscape, aquatic plants, and light, so you’ll leave with everything you need to create a beautiful nano aquascape at home. Detailed care instructions will also be emailed to you after the class to help you get your new habitat off to a great start.
What’s Included
Shrimp bowl
Aquascaping hardscape
Live aquatic plants
Aquarium light
Care instructions emailed after the workshop
What You’ll Need at Home
The bowl does not require a filter or heater, but you will need a convenient location for the included light. Basic care supplies such as fertilizer, beneficial bacteria, and water conditioner are not included and will need to be purchased separately.
Please note: Your shrimp bowl will need time to establish its nitrogen cycle before livestock can be safely added. Shrimp should not be introduced immediately after the workshop. Allow approximately 4–6 weeks for the bowl to properly cycle and develop a stable environment. This habitat is specifically designed to support Neocaridina shrimp, making it an excellent introduction to shrimp keeping, planted aquariums, and low-tech aquascaping.
Workshop: Shrimp Bowl - $170 per project (1–2 people)
Price includes one shrimp bowl creation.
